In the 2011-2012 season, Stockport County Football Club played in the Conference National league, which is the fifth tier of the English Football League system. In the previous season, the team was relegated to the Conference League after finishing in the bottom positions of the English League 2. 2011 marked the first time in more than 100 years that Stockport County F.C. was relegated into the Conference League.

The 24 year old Defender was actually born in Scotland but moved to the U.S. at an early age. Fans and other hopeful players remember his first goal for the team which won the game against Kettering.

The Stockport Football is located in Stockport, Great Manchester, and is the best football team in all of England. James Gannon, now 43, was elected as a member to the Hall of Fame during his tenur at Stockport. He played for the club for ten years from 1990 to 2000. He has gone on to manage teams.
